Found this feller (I assumed it was a feller) stuck in the base of a big walnut tree. Not sure whether he froze, starved or suffocated, but any wouldn't be fun…

They ain't so bad. Clean up a lot of garbage in the woods. Ticks, dead animals and such. They would probably be less hated if they didn't have a rat like tail.

Not my favorite animal, but hate that it suffered. Odd way to go. If it were me I'd prefer a .22 to the head while trying to steal corn from the garden which is how the last three possums in my yard died.
