Need to drop poundage on my Matthews LX bow

More than likely yes you will, because of the spine deflectionyou will, in most cases, be way over spined in your situation. That being said, it is always better to be slightly over-spined than be under-spined. An arrow that is not correctly spined for the draw weight of the bow will make exact tuning very difficultif not down right impossible. Check with the arrow manufacturer and read their spine chart.

Check the spine charts . Depending on your arrow length , tip weight and spine , you may be okay . To weaken the spine , you can go up in tip weight .
