I'm really not sure how a deer winds up tied in a rope in the lake...

15ft deep. Wondered if it was anchored but was too smelly to mess with, and I didn't want TWRA to see me fooling with it.

Can't tell by the pic. Has it been skinned? Either way, someone put that rope of it and may very well have tried to sink it.

Nope. It wasn't skinned. Just rotting in the water.

yeah probably chum bait for channel cats. could be a road kill or somebody may have shot it. lol, still messy. cracked corn and blood meal would have been easier.
