I assembled my wife's new Barnett Lady Raptor this afternoon. The assembly wasn't hard, although the scope bases were not spaced to fit on the rail. I corrected the problem, leveled the scope, and remounted it without any problems. I do have a few concerns:
1. The last 6" of the arrow (or bolt) do not lie flat on the rail. It appears the rail isn't level.
2. Not a single arrow will group together. I labeled and weighed each of the three arrows with field points: 408.3, 410.1, and 410.3 grains each. Not much difference in weight, but they will not group better than 4" at 20 yards. However, each one hits at the same location as the previous shot. I can't figure out why I'm having this problem. Unless, it stems to the 1st concern, arrows not laying flat all the way down the rail.
Any suggestions?
I plan to call Barnett tomorrow, but sure don't look forward to holding for 20 minutes to speak with a customer service rep....
