I have been shooting Beaman ICS carbon arrows for a few years and have had good results. I decided to try something new so I bought some Easton Axis N-fused arrows.

I tried them out yesterday and the results are:
The Easton arrows penetrate the target four inches more than the Beaman arrows. I guess the smaller diameter of the Easton arrows are the reason but don't really know.

The Easton arrows are 9.0 GPI and the Beamans are 8.4 GPI. That may help slightly being about 17 grains heavier all other factors are the same except the diameter.

I guess I will stick the Eastons a couple of inches deeper in the dirt on pass thrus. Waiting until Sept 01 to try them out on a live animal.

When i switched from GT to Easton the first thing i noticed was the arrows sticking through my target about 3 to 4 inches more.

I have the same arrows. Hopefully I will get to field test them this year. What kind of broadheads are you using? I put an order in for some muzzy dx3s the other day. Hopefully the prove in the killing dept. this year. . . . I am shooting 28in 400 spine out of a 60lb Quest Hammer. Iwould like to chrono them as I think they are a little on the light side.

I shoot a Mathews Dreanlin.....29" draw.....60# weight with Muzzy 100 gr three blade heads. The arrows are 400 spine. Itching to try them out on a deer in about a month

When I first shot the Easton AxisST the first think I liked is the slim design...they wrap them outside inward rather than the traditional inside out.....second I love how the H.I.T. insert is clean when broadhead installed less drag IMO
