I just bought a HCA Iron Mace off of archery talk and Im super pumped. I have been wanting to give one a try for a while now and just happened to see this one up for sale yesterday. Bow, octane stabilizer, new strings, sts, and spott hogg whammy rest all shipped to me for $375. Its shipping this morning and I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.

How durable have the speed pro arrows been for you?

I have been testing them and with the reinforcement rings installed , they are as durable as any other arrow I have shot.

The small aluminum rings are glued on each end of the shaft to strengthen the walls. The speed pro arrows have a thin wall and stiff spine.
I was a bit skeptical shooting them before I tried them out .

I really like the speed pro max arrows. I have been shooting the same half dozen for 3 years now. I killed two deer with the same arrow last year. I haven't had a problem with the Iron Mace or the speed pros yet. I've had mine 3 years now. I'm shooting the 60 lb limbs. I was at a pro shop yesterday that pushes Mathews bows big time. I purchased a Mathews Outback from him several years ago. He asked if I was still shooting the Outback and I told him, no. Then he asked what I was shooting now, I told him a HCA Iron Mace he just laughed. He said he has seen several of them blow up in his shop. I told him I haven't had a problem out of mine in 3 years.

I'm always skeptical when talking to dealers who push certain brands . I was talking to a local Mathews dealers about Hoyt bows once , and he was bashing them big time . 6 months later when the cam 1/2 caught on , he was selling Hoyt bows , go figure .

it's not so much the pushing of a certain brand as it is the bashing of other brands that turns me off.they're all good bows.

I agree, I'll probaly remember some of the comments when I do decide to buy a new bow.

I think I would have laughed back and told him "Thanks for the advise. Now I know not to let you work on mine since they are all blowing up in your shop and no where else" lol

I got it and it is one sweet setup. Definetly an arrow launching machine. Love the feel of it and it is very quiet. Im totally impressed.
