wanting to buy a new call this year im usually a slate and box man but wanting to try something different this year, give me some suggestions

another slate. setterman I am about to order me one of those calls. to see what the fuss is about them I may end up like you with a bunch of them if I like them.
tubes are great but can be a challenge to really get use to using them and confident with them. If you can learn to gobble on them they really add something that no other calls can do well. I am a tube call fan but it took me a LONG time to learn how to gobble on one. Its not a necessity as you can cut and yelp with one as well but if your going to get one and really want to unlock its secrets you need to learn to jake gobble on it!
I am a fan of David Hollorans calls personally and they are at a decent price.

There are WAY too many great turkey calls to just recommend one. My advice would be, go to Nashville in 2 weeks, walk around the Opry Land convention center, and play with 3 or 4 hundred different calls, and buy your 3 favorites.
