Anyone shoot the new Chill X yet? If so what is your opinion? I am going to wait on the new 40" ATA(Rumor)Mathews before I make up my mind.

Can't wait to get my hands on mine. Hopefully it will be here soon. There won't be anymore mid season releases this year I'm pretty sure.

Unfortunately this appears to be another attempt to re-package more of the same! The ChillX appears to be MR7 35" Monster, only slower and while we're at it let's charge more for the same!

The marketing dept. really needs to get together with the engineering dept. and come up with new and innovative design ideas!

I haven't seen the specs but if it's basically a slow MR7 with 35" ATA this bow doesn't spur my interest.

My MR6 was 10 fps slower than IBO once you accounted for the deductions (draw weight, draw length, arrow weight). It's should have been shooting 301 fps and it was 291 fps.

My MR6 was a great bow but nowhere near it's advertised speed.

The only thing that is the same as the MR7 is the camo and the grip. Completely different bows. I will be selling my Z7 Extreme to buy one.

Other than the waffle riser I like the looks of this one. Good geometry for me and I kinda need a new bow. It's been a while and I'm itching to shoot some 3D again when we get done with baseball.

Reports are good on Archery Talk.

Here's a possible issue. Given the large cams on a 35" ATA bow, this might be borderline long for hunting. I turkey hunt out of a ground blind and my 34" ATA Hoyt is cutting it close. Tree stand shouldn't be an issue but possibly out of a ground blind.

I hunted with bows with ATA of 45" when I first started bowhunting in the early 80's . Never had an issue out of a treestand . Being aware of your clear shooting lanes and limb clearance is the key .
