Where would a new comer to turkey hunting need to start out in E. TN to get a better chance at bagging a bird?? Any help would be appreciated.

Trial and Error brotha, not to be a smart butt but honestly it is. A turkey is the SMARTEST bird on the planet ask any specific questions you might have and I'll/We will answer what we can.

And with that being said I have chased turkeys for 11 years now I think and I learn something NEW every single time I hunt em.

Any land near the a lake usually holds birds. Find some TVA land around Norris and you will find birds. Now killing one is a whole nother matter. Be patient and call little.

If you ever come to west tn I put you on the birds year before last out of everyone I took we killed 21 birds only 2 jacks

They're not smart but wary as all get out.

Are there any public lands in the E. TN area that houses numerous birds? Where would I start scouting? What would I look for, etc?

Any certain websites to help out?

Royal Blue has a bunch of birds but you better be in shape. Get as high as you can in the morning and wait for them to start gobbling...then attack!

Royal Blue isnt too too far away. But is a big area...I have never been up to that area other than shooting at the range, and to ride a dirtbike a long time ago.
