Florida States new freshman class ,Rivals 3rd ranked, is already turning heads.
The highlight of that particular class was the five different five-star recruits who chose to come to Tallahassee. The group features the nation's No. 1 safety in Derwin James, the No. 2 defensive end in Josh Sweat, the No. 2 cornerback in Tarvarus McFadden, the No. 3 tailback in Jacques Patrick and the No. 5 wide receiver in George Campbell. The five-star freshmen aren't alone, of course. Of the Seminoles' 20 signees in February, 10 were rated as four-star prospects -- and some of those players will be in the running for playing time as well.
McFadden, who stands 6-foot-2 and 197 pounds, looked smooth during the portion of practice that was open to the media. He and fellow five-star freshman James, who is 6-3 and 210 pounds, started off with some instructions on how to jam receivers.
As for receivers,5* Campbell was also fluid. Perhaps benefiting from being an early enrollee, the 6-4, 202-pounder went through all the drills with no problem. He was especially sharp in one station where he ran a zig-zag pattern past miniature cones while catching a pass in stride. He will fit in well with 5*s Ermon Lane and Travis Rudolph. Campbell, James and Patrick all enrolled in January and went through spring practice.
The players will dominate the State of Florida for the next 4 years , which is not good news for Miami and The UF Gators.
