New lake record at the 1,000 acre lake

Rein Goulb was practicing for the Bassmaster Jr Championship and caught this 14 pound 2 ounce largemouth.
I believe he caught it yesterday but not totally sure.

This is the young man that won the tournament last year too.

Of course there were the usual comments on the page about how it didn't weigh that much etc.
Congrats to the young man for sure.

Wow, congrats to him. I tell you there was ALOT of boats out there yesterday practicing for that tournament! I barely found a place to park around 11 am.

The kid has a bright future in fishing for sure! His dad is one of the best sticks from Up state New York and has had that boy on the top of the leader boards in everything he has fished so far! Great catch Rein!

It's unfortunate for him that they didn't get a better picture of that fish, because it doesn't look anywhere near 14lbs. The perspective is just horrible - doesn't do it justice.

Yeah the pic makes it look small. That fish is around 27 inches long tho. Congrats young man.

I'm still learning the lake I do like it though it's about 15 mins from my house no doubt that's a good fish

Agreed terrible pic, most kids his size could even hold a 14 lbdr straight out in front of them! They did have a 12 lbdr caught and weighed on BASS scales there a yr or two ago however in this same Tourn.
