Same field, Imperial White Clover, I know a lot of people say its too high, not any better, etc,etc...
But I lime, fertilize, roll it, to me its the best, yes they All will dry and may die in drought conditions, its working for me.
I have some 6 years old
 
just clover, on new plots I usually mix wheat in with it for the jump start and additional food then clip it early summer, part of
the plan is the standing wheat stubble helps hold moisture

I did notice today riding out a few spots drying out that I'll watch if I need to frost seed
 
Awesome pic. I can see why it's called gobblers knob... looks like an awesome spot to call one in.

I think its just that she has a lot of white hair on the front of
her ham, good spot WORM82
