Have a couple year old bear lights out bow and need new sights for sure. . I figured I ought to get New string while I'm at it. .

Don't want to spend a ton. . Any thoughts. . . How much do strings run? I know sights can get real high but gonna get something basic

H&M over on Archery Talk will be one of the cheapest and a lot of people over there seem to like his strings. I think they were around $45-$50. However, if nothing has changed you will probably have quite a wait. If I were buying a new one I would go with Bucknasty ($70) or Vapor Trail.

For sights, just look for something all metal or at least metal pins. I would look at the Sword Sabre or Spot Hogg Bulletproof for a basic sight.

Bucknasty is a good string, like TheAirMan said, its around 70-75 bucks.

Any 452x material would be ideal.

The more I look at the Viper sights, the more impressed I get about them.

love my viper.

Just put a set of Vapor Trail strings on my bow. I love them so far!
I love my Trophy Ridge Alpha sight. My brother has a tru-glo sight on his and he likes it.

BCY 452x is a type of material used to make strings. Its what kind of material the strands in the string are. I like it for its low stretch, creep, and peep rotation attributes.

I replaced my string on my Reezen this spring and went with VaporTrail and am very, very pleased with them! I went with the VTX material, which is a blend, and the string hasn't stretched any after 15 or so shots. They had them in my hand within three days and cost around $80.
