new to archery hunting

Oka i am new to archery hunting this is my first year at bow hunting i bought a bowtech guardian i am shooting 55lbs with a 26inchbowtech goldtip arrow and 100gran tips my question is which type of broadheads should i shoot fixed or exspandables thanks for read any help is well apps.
 
I'd shoot whatever flies truest...everybody will have an opinion and a different answer for you but I suspect the big names people will call out are the Rage Broadhead (expand), Swhacker (expand), Spit Fires (expand), Exodus (fixed), or I've been shooting Wasp Jak-Hammer (expand) and they do fine.
 
I first started with Slick Trick Magnums. They flew pretty good, then I just wanted to try mechanicals so I got some Meat Seekers.
Just get something not too expensive in case they dont work then go from there.
 
Find something that flys well out of your equipment and that you have confidence in. I use to shoot Grim Reapers and killed a lot of deer with them, then one day I was testing the blades just like I do every time before I nocked the arrow and one of the blades started to stick. I changed arrows and it was fine but I started to have doubts and worried about a blade or two not opening so i switched to Muzzy. It works for me but there are a lot of good broadheads that work great

I actually shoot tekkens but my buddy shoots rage. I saw him drop a 10 point that went about 40 or 50 yards before hitting the dirt. The rage broadheads seem to put a huge hole in the deer and fly true.. only draw back is they are pretty pricy
 
Thanks guys i picked up some muzzy zx4s my father in law gave me 2 nap shocks waves i shoot one into a big stack of cardboard and shoot one of the muzzys and the muzzy had little less of a hole but it blowed all the way though it and the shock wave went half way in but a bigger hole i think i will go with the muzzys for this year

First of all, welcome to the world of bow hunting�there is nothing like it in the world! Given the information you posted, I would definately go with a fixed blade such as Slick Tricks, G5 Strikers, Muzzy and so on. The reason is the slower speed and lighter arrow, from your information, will result in a lower kinetic energy�compared to that of a 70lbs pull and a 420 grain arrow. You want as high of retention of kinetic energy as possible at impact and you will get that with using a cut-on-contact fixed blade broadhead. With using a mechanical such as Rage, Spitfires, etc.... you will lose some degree of k/e as the blades deploy.

Yep, the neighbors don't get quite as butt-hurt when your shooting a bow than they do when your blasting away in the backyard with a 10/22 or a 30-.06. :)
 
If I may let me chime in as well. Im new to archery huntin' this year too. Been a nasty gun hunter my whole life and after killing almost 90% of my deer at less than 40 yeards it finally clicked. Duh...
Been doing alot of shooting and wanted to shoot one of the broad heads that chose (hell razors by NAP) just to see how they fly. I made sure the viens on my shaft were perfectly inline with the blades on the broad heads. My arrows CONSISTENTLY flew left and high. Now Im thinking I cant shoot my broad heads all the time at practice therefore having to change my sights. Bought some Rage 2 blade heads and the practice head flew EXACTLY the same as my field tips... Not sure what the deal is but, as Im hearing others say "put a Rage thru the cage" and down they go.
So any and all feed back on this from those who have the experience in archery hunting is MUCH appreciated.
