Nice man!! yeah practice everyday. Get a rangefinder and Thermacell too. I still got my Martin Razor that I bought off craigslist for $150 XD

i had a Bear Assault last year and it was a very very good shooting bow, matter of fact there are parts of me that wishes i would have kept it over the Hoyt i have now.

Does anybody have any suggestions on some arrows to buy? Gonna go tomorrow to the bow shop and get some cut to length.

Easton Bloodline is the best new arrow on the market IMO. But you can never go wrong with a Beman ICS Hunter or a CX Maxima.

The main thing that you absolutely have to 100% certain of is, to make sure that the arrows are spined correctly to your setup! Also, I would go with an arrow that will, at a minimum, put you in the vicinity of 425-450 grains of total weight. Also, make sure that they square the face of the arrow before installing the insert, and square the face of the insert itself.

As far as which brand, there are many good ones to pick from Easton, Beman, Carbon Express, Gold Tips, etc...it really depends on what you want out of them and the price your willing to pay. Me personally, I'm partial to the Easton Axis arrows because they are thin diameter, good weight and they won't break the bank. I did use the ST Epics and for some reason, Easton took it upon themselves to discontinue it. The Bloodline as fast eddie recommended is also a very fine arrow and it replaced the St EpicsI just don't like the weight reduction in them, even though it is minimal.

I am currently shooting Axis Nano ST's as well. Love em. I am on the light side this year coming in at 395grns. But it shoots them at 250 fps. Welcome to bowhunting by the way. Its the only addiction that does not have a twelve step program!
