Hey guys
I'm new to the forum and don't live in tenn. I live in Florida and am thinking of moving to NE tenn in Hawkins county. Looking at 100 acres with a house. I'm 54 widowed and disabled, but not to the point where i am imobile, just have to do things alot different nowadays. I am a die hard deer and turkey hunter and was wondering if the hunting is decent in that neck of the woods.I've searched the web and it seems it's not as bad as it used to be ,but i figured i'd pitch it to the forum and see what i get.
Thanks in advance

I don't live in that neck but welcome to the forum. You may get more traction with this post in the general forum. Generally the deer hunting is better the further west you go in the state but every county has their honey holes and there are big bucks killed all across the state. Good luck!

Hawkins county is in Unit A. You will be allowed 2 anterlered deer for the hunting season. You will be allowed 2 anterless deer during muzzleload season and 2 during rifle. Hunting in Unit A is usually good. Check tge TWRA regulation to verify my memory.

Hawkins county has a good population of deer and turkey. Haven't checked in a couple years but for several years it was the top county in this area for deer harvests. Good luck if you head this way
