1. what kind of choke do i need i have a imp. cyl and a ext full
2. i have a box of #4 2 3/4 1 1/4oz winchester super x will that get the job done
3. i have a box call and a slate call that i can use pretty good or atleast i think i can and a hoot owl and i got some of them inflatable decoys 2 hens and 1 gobbler anything that im missing?

sounds like you are set. As for not getting them close enough, that will happen alot. Just stay after them. But your equipment sounds fine. Get a big pizza box for a target, draw a 10 inch circle on it. Place it 35 -40 yds out and see how your gun shoots. See how many hits you get in the circle. Your gun may surprise you. Good luck.

wfl89 use the ext full choke. and do what turkeyhunter said about patterning you gun. I would personally get a box of 3" turkey loads 4s,5s or 6s that is if you gun will chamber a 3" shell. Good luck to you this year.

I use to have some targets that recommended 10-12 pellets in the kill zone to be lethal.

yodel dog , according to the shooting experts on this sight and others I have researched around 100 pellets in a 10 inch circle.

The targets I was referring to were the pattern type targets with the head and neck area that also showed the spine and brain. The target said 10-12 pellets in the spine and brain was lethal. Before I starting shooting Nitros, this is the info I used. It worked well for me.
