I went to a new farm today. A little after daylight I owl hooted with my mouth and one hammered back. He was on a hillside about half way up. As I take off after him and set up, the only place I could he was gobbling very well. I didn't like my set up and then he starts moving away from me, so I just let him go and take off to circle around him. As I get close to where I needed to be I hear him gobble above me about 150 yards. I start up the hill to the right and get on the same level as him and set up. I start soft calling and he answers. I can tell he's coming pretty quick so I get my gun up on my knee and wait. He gobbles a couple more times and then I see him. He is moving to my right, so I have to move my gun just a little to center his neck the scope. I fire and he ddnt even flop until I get to him. 21.5 lbs. 9 in. beard and 1 in. spurs. Started making calls this spring and this slate over glass and a load of T'ss shot helped put him in the truck. Good luck to everyone.
