I am new-ish to deer hunting, and at the onset of this season, I was hopeful, but realistically understood that it would be a year of learning. Mainly because of both lack of skill and, until late in the season, AMMO! In addition, I must cut this season short due to an illness in the family. Plus, It was December before I found a box of 25-06 for my newly acquired rifle. However, I am not exactly done either. I have purchased a bow, and will begin honing my skills with that after squirrel season. I intend on sharpening some hunting skills on squirrels, and learning to spot deer sign better. I have two boxes of ammo and will be sharpening my marksmanship with my 22LR and AR at the range. I will learn all I can about Odocoileus virginianus between now and next year.
May you all have a blessed New Year, and my deer photos join yours in 2022.
Cheers!
