Apparently, contrary to a bunch of media reports, Kongbo has NOT signed his letter of intent. He signed the financial papers which gave UT the ability to discuss him.

While he claims he is all Vol, he still needs a signature from a parent to finish up the LOI. His Dad wants him at Ole Miss, and, contrary to earlier reports, it doesn't look like the Mom is going to sign. This one doesn't have a good feel for the Vols.

Wonder why his Daddy is pushing OLE MI$$ so hard? Seeking a pay day :P ?

Hopefully he keeps his word.........again :? And signs with UT.

The rumor out there is that Ole Miss has a teaching position lined up for the Dad.........
Well he will need a new car to get to and from his new teaching position, and 5 years worth of gas money :D

Laughing at these rumours and the "sources". It's simple we going to win championships at Tennessee #GBO

Every offseason!

I'm a Vols fan, but if you guys don't think the dad is trying to sell son to the highest bidder you're crazy. This has Cam Neeton situation at Auburn written all over it. As much as I hope he becomes a Vol, I'm worried that if he does he will end u putting the program in a lot of hot water when it's found out how much we paid dad or what we gave dad in order to sign the LOI.

Now IDK one way or another but apparently he has to be 21 to sign his LOI himself. I have seen it said that he turns 21 next month. It would seem that Kongbo is dead set on being a Vol just by reading tweets and stuff. It might not be a bad idea on his part and UTs to let him wait until his birthday and sign it himself IF Ole Miss has paid dear old dad.

It's hard to tell what's going on here. It could be as simple as the parents being out of pocket or the parents trying to fill their pockets... :rotf:

If it's $$$$$, Ole Miss couldn't buy Kongbo on NSD even if they did have dad in the bag. If I was UT I'd just wait until his birthday a let him sign it himself and take dad out of the equation. Assuming that's actually the rule. I honestly don't have any idea.

They have to be 21 to sign a letter of intent without a parent also signing.

I do think it's pathetic on his dad's behalf to not let his kid go where he wants to go, the NCAA should force Ole Miss to hire his dad whether he comes there or not if that is really what is happening.

The NCAA violations against Ole Miss may be far more serious than the school let on.
Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde was the first to report late last month that the NCAA has formally charged the school with rules violations across multiple sports. And now the Associated Press is reporting that of the 28 violations levied against the school, 13 involve the football program. On top of that, the AP's report says nine of those violations "occurred during current coach Hugh Freeze's tenure," some of which are Level I violations – the most serious.

These are new violations. King Kongbo won't be heading there.

Looks like they paid to have Tunsil 3 different loaner Vicheals over a 6 month period with out a payment.

Found a $3,000 Note for a down payment for a used car.

Free hotel rooms & Airplane Tickets .

Just the stuff they found........your crazy if you dont think they was more...Makes you wonder Just what all they have Offerd Kongbo.

Since my daughter was 18 I didn't need to sign her LOI. I wouldn't think football was any different.
