Am I the only person who hasnt been seeing turkeys? I've seen turkeys at my place every trip since I bought it a year ago but now I cant even find a Turkey track or even see or hear a turkey for the past 3 months. Hopefully things change befor the season starts.

lol bigsatt!

bayou i would not worry about it yet, there is still plenty of time for them to split up. Once the groups start to split you will have them. Flocks can move alot of distance from winter to spring areas and you will gain and loose toms most of the spring while they are out searching.

I hunt a place in bama that you cannot find a turkey on until literally a week or so before the season opens. No reason that I could figure out, just the way it was. I think it was neighbors baiting deer and not stopping until the end of their deer season (Jan 31) and the turkeys hung out for another month or so scavaging for corn. When they realized it was gone they would pour back onto my place.

The pop. has went to crap in my area. I wont be there this Spring to see how it all pans out but the last 3 years, especially the last 2 years have been horrible for numbers of turkeys. The days of seeing 20 and 30 turkeys a day and hearing 10 gobblers are just over and it makes me sad.

You never know, but at this point you are looking pretty good IMO. Just don't pressure them to hard if they are uncooperative early, and they should stick around and provide for a great season.
