I agree 100%. He's 3.5, and plenty big enough for me. I wouldn't hesitate a second to put one in him, and be tickled doing it.
Of course you might [probably are] be hunting a much better area than I am. Just seeing a 3.5 y.o. deer in my area is cause for celebration.
