Not a sound

Heard a bunch early, then went silent for about an hour or more. Then one started gobbling and I had to leave for my sons soccer game.

I'm in Washington co and it's still wierd here. They gobbled on the roost then nothing so I started picking mushrooms and around an hour after flydown I heard a couple gobbles and started calling to them, 30 mins later I could see a jake strutting and some hens thru the brush then I spotted 2 white heads coming spitting and drumming 30 yards but it was to thick to shoot. They finally got tired of looking for me and wondered back off. This is the most normal morning I have had yet.

Rutherford county, havent heard a gobble in three days. They've been active though, tracks everywhere up and down the roads and ive seen lots of hens feeding in the feilds.

I shocked a couple gobbles worked one to about 80-100 yards or so but he hung up and hushed up. Went about half mile around the ridge shocked two more they were close but they would not respond any more set there about an hour wind got up big finally went home.

I heard 3 today. First day in the woods for me, but supposedly they've been blowing the woods down all week. Not this morning. Just a little roost gobbling and then maybe 2 times once they came off the limb. I moved in on the one bird I thought I could work, and promptly called in a huge bobcat.
