Went for a short public land hunt this morning and ended up killing this coyote. The last few years this place has been eat up with coyotes after turkey season I am going to brake out the AR in 6.8 and see if I can do some thinning. This was a large female.

Word of caution:

Be sure you can hunt in the "off-season" with a centerfire on that public land. Otherwise you may get accused of deer poaching. I'd check with the game warden to be safe. The WMA regs are not always the clearest when it comes to coyote hunting.
