I finally got around to shooting my bow with my new sights on it this afternoon with one of my buddies. I'm ready to let the air out of one now!!!

Good shooting, you should have came down and shot with us at Lakeside 3-D archery yesterday.(Between Broadview and Tims Ford State Park) It was a good turn out, they are going to have another shoot in late August. Got some good practice in yesterday, they had a excellent course set-up yesterday.

I've shot the last two courses they've set up and had an absolute blast. Anyone who shoots should give it a try! Tracy, Allen and Martin are doing an absolutely teriffic job! By the way that group would definitely be good enough for the Bowhunter Pro division.

I came by there yesterday! Me and a buddy went fishing out that way yesterday morning. We put in at the dam, then came back through there to eat breakfast at the marina. He lives right across from the entrance to Leatherwood. So it's just right down the road from him.

We considered either shooting in that or fishing Saturday, but Friday night we were talking on the phone about how neither of us had shot our bows yet this year and just decided to fish......After three hours of fishing for rockfish and not the first bite we came to the conclusion that we should have just winged it at the archery tourney.... :D

Did you do any good?

Yep! RedHead Carbon Fury 6075's.

You can't beat em' for the price. These are the first carbon arrows that I've ever owned and I love them!

I shot a 172 on 20 targets. I also got lucky and won the longest shot of the day. They had a target set-up and you started out at 20 yards that had a 3 inch circle on it and you shot until you missed. I got lucky and hit it at 80 yards. I won a target of some kind, got to pick it up sometime this week. You and your buddy should shoot the next one in August. It was alot of fun.

When's the one in August? I might try and shoot in that one. It sounds pretty fun. I must say that I'm not really that good of a shot, but a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while...... :D
