I'm still new at this so I'm not sure how to proceed. I know the place has turkey. Have about 1:30 left if hunting time.

Ditto in Gibson co. Seen some hens and killed a coyote (2nd trip in a row to do that!) but the gobblers aint talking!

I had one that gobbled 5-10 times and then heard 1 more once. Saw the gobbler, 3 jakes, and a couple of hens. They flew down and went the opposite paying no attention to me. Waited a bit and then got up and eased toward them which is towards a road. Sat down probably 75 yards away and was going to just see what they were going to do when a truck comes by at 7:00 and there are two kids in the back. They holler something at the birds and it spooks one of the hens. She takes flight across the road followed by the other hen and longbeard. The jakes hung around and came back by me but I let them go. Built a little groundblind in front of a huge tree and plan to have my son there in the morning. Anything with a beard is fair game for him.

of course on my way home I saw two strutting in a field...it is property for sale but it is in town with heavy traffic...not a poacher but man it was tempting....hahahaha...I see turkey and or deer there almost every time I pass. I finished my first season today...it was the first time I have been where I didn't hear or see anything (while actually hunting). You aren't a hunter until you strike out...haha. I had a LOT of fun and this is a sport I will continue for years to come.

Saturday was one of those days where the birds just weren't talking much. I think it was weather related, ie barometric pressure.

Last Thursday and Friday, they were blowing the woods down.

Sunday, I got on one that gobbled his head off around 6:45 until finally coming in at 7:30. But, I was trying to get my 9 yr old daughter her first bird, and she missed.
