Notre Dame's best days are behind them. They may pop up on the radar from time to time, but the days of being a consistent mover and shaker in the college football world are over. For the most part, ND is an irrelevant program.

The way things have been for the last few years, it's going to be tough for northern teams to get enough players to sign up for frostbite. There's some really good players up that way, just not enough of them.

As far as Kelly goes, he'll throw his guys under the bus in a heartbeat, it seems.
