NOW THIS JUST AIN'T RIGHT!!!

Ive been working midnights and I ain't got the time to drive to my hunting spot by gobbling time so I've been stopping and going fishing instead. I've heard no less than 3 birds gobbling every time I go. This morning was no exception. 4 birds gobbling hard so I drove to the closest one. I had an old diaphram in my trunk so I thought I'd just see what the response would be. Well to say the least he was fired up , he gobbled at every yelp and cut I made. I was calling to him from the edge of the road wearing shorts and a tshirt and saw him fly out of the tree about 40 yards from me, could hear him drumming but never could see him strutting. I wish this could happen when Im hunting but its still fun to hear em sounding off in the morning,

If you had the time to do that then you should be heading to your spot, I'm haven't been hearing any gobbling for a while

guess i shoulda mentioned a lack of gas money too - this stop is on the way home - thats the glory of being on a very tight budget - i gotta take what i can get
