Saturday was tough stayed on gobbling birds all day long but could do nothing with them. Fastforward to this morning, me and lb make the dark trek up heart check ridge and get in tight on some birds we had been on sat morning. Daylight comes and they were right there and 40 yards, The hens fly down to the left a couple hundred yards. The two toms and a jake pitch straight down, i am thinking this is going to be good. They walk straight away from us gobbling the whole way (homos). Do some more leg work and finally strike this bird up and he done it right or wrong depends on who's shoes your in. 8/1/2 and 6/1/2 beard just a hair over 1" spurs and 24#
