I don't know that I've ever seen a deer and coyotes hanging out together. Look under the deers head!

Maybe there were fawns around and a tussle was about to break out. Like when the Greasers and the Socs are on the same block but it's still early in the evening.

Luckily all the fawns and mommas I've had on camera are still around as far as i can tell. These are the first ones I've seen in that spot in awhile and first time I've seen those yotes. Guess new group moving in. Time for the 257Roberts to eat.

I had a pic of a nice buck during rut a couple years at night. First picture had eyes everywhere behind him. The next, deer was gone and all the eyes were back in the dark. They killed him within 40 yards of the camera in front of my blind.

I've killed a few coyotes that came running in while I was rattling. They know that sound means distracted, worn out, and possibly injured bucks. I wouldn't be surprised if that's how they caught the buck on your cam. A healthy adult buck is not an easy or safe meal unless he was compromised.
