Well how did it go DC?

I sucked! I know how far they are I just can't see the target well enough to hit it while at full draw. I continue to experiment with eyeglasses, lens, and apertures to find the right combination for the best target and pin image! Getting old sucks! I suck!

I did have a great time with great friends! UTG, you should try it sometime!

I would like to be able to shoot all the Pro/Ams one year....just to say I've done it. I have the bug quite bad right now. It seems my mind is never idle and I'm always thinking about shooting bows or different strategies and goals for myself. When I get my own range bought and setup, I hope to be able to take my shooting a few levels higher than where I am now, and start doing some good at the Pro/Ams. I've got two 3rd place finishes at them...but I'm hungry for that top spot now. I've been close enough to smell it but I wanna be first. But I will take 2nd if it ever presents itself...cause in a way, it's first at being the first to lose. LOL

I'm starting to feel the slightest bit of waning enthusiasm for archery. I used to be boiled over obsessed with archery. Now I can go a couple days without shooting. I'm not reading and researching like I used to. This is probably "healthy" for me lol
The older I get the more having "balance" in my life becomes important. I still shoot most days and sure as heck won't be quitting but I'm not eat up with it like I was.

Would you like some cheese with that whine of your?

Get out there and enjoy what archery has to offer! There are some great activities to be had on a local level! You shot one 3d last year and one this year and you pound the bags at the AG center and that's fine! Why not try making archery a social interaction to enjoy and to re-invigorate the passion of archery.

If you're one of those that only has a good time when they're winning, then stay at home! Otherwise get out there and meet folks that share the same passion!

Archery has been a life long passion/obsession for me that has given me so much and I try to give back whenever I can! Along the way I have met some of the most wonderful people to share a campfire with! Those campfires have given me life long relationships to cherish!

Well saidespecially the last sentence!

Archery is something I enjoy doing and I enjoy shooting with others. Please don't misunderstand. I'm happy whether I miss a target in a 3D tournament or shoot really well. Archery shoots are a great way to meet fellow archers and learn.

I'm just saying I'm not eat up with it all the time anymore. I'm happy to shoot with others and just enjoy it.

I use to live in Paris, TX!! Not much there, let me know if you need any suggestions for that area.

Catfish King is a good place to eat, also Buffalo Joe's is a good place to eat and have a beer. Bodacious BBQ is a good joint as well.
