You are right it is a hoot. I like to shoot and reload trying to get better groups and just have fun. It feels great to drop a deer or what every with a load you put together.

thats what i love about loading for my Shiloh Sharps .40-65 black powder cartridge rifle

I am loading "match grade" cartridges with basically zero run out on bullet seating

this is something that you can not purchase off of the shelf in the store

SSSHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Don't talk about initial costs of reloading....it's all about saving money. :) That's what we tell ourselves when we start at least. Sure there is a bit of expense at the start up but you spread that over more cartridges and it reduces the cost even more. The more you shoot the cheaper it gets. The more guns you buy in new chamberings to load for - the cheaper each round gets. The more bulk components you buy, the cheaper it gets. This is what I tell my wife at least. :)

That's what I been telling my wife each time she sees the banks statement and it says outpost armory. Doesn't help that she works for the bank and sees it daily. Lol

Ouch...that kind of oversight is not good. :) Do like I did and get a FFL. That way you can order stuff for your friends. Guns and gun stuff is always arriving at your house and some of it don't ever leave. It's a great way to "disguise" your own personal purchases.

Handloading has definitely improved my groups vs. factory ammo. I finally tweaked a load for my 700 308 tactical that consistently gives me .2-.3 MOA.
