It was a great morning. I got there a little late and bumped birds off the roost going in. Went on out the ridge about 100 yrds and heard a bird gobble. Set up the dekes and did a little calling. The woods came alive hens started yelping and birds started really gobbleing hard. I called to a group of birds for 2 hours. They were in a green field below me and started moving my way. Changed to a box call and then things got interesting. They started heading my way. I called them out of a green field to my set up. When the first bird popped up ol two beards was behind him in full strut. There was three long beards on the flat when I turned his lights out. When I jumped up to get him the forest floor went to the sky. There was not only 2 but 9 long beards over the hill. Man I can't wait for tomorrow before church. Maybe if I promise to be home in time God will bless me again. Here is the tail of the tape
