any of you guys still using them. i pulled one out of storage, with a johnson century 100b, and was thinking this thing would be dandy for flinging crickets at gills. these things bring back a lot of memories when i was a kid.

I still have a couple, one that game on a Zebco 404 combo and another one I think belonged to my step dad but dont have a reel, the old clear glass rods with the wire guides that wrap around the pole complete with a metal reel seat cork handle can be found at the local flea mkt for cheap, mite have to get one myself.
Fiber glass fly rods seem to be in style again, quite a few people seem to be fall'n in love with them again and swear by the vintage stuff, also rod builders cash'n in on the fad.

I use a couple glass rods for crankin'.
