Old Gobbler sent me to the ER.

Got spurred in the hand bad a few weeks back, five hours later I could feel my heart beating from my elbow to my finger tips. Went to the ER and they said it was infected and scrubbed the heck out of it and pulled pieces of my glove out. Put me on 10 days of antibiotics. Every time I get my little girl in a picture with a turkey my wife is so worried about her touching it, in which I always say "Honey, a turkey is one of the cleanest animals their is". She has reminded me no less than 3 times a day since then that I in fact am wrong .lol

Tell her it was your NASTY gloves that were the bacteria infested problem.

One of the first things i learned about a dead turkey is to make 110% sure he's dead before you reach down to pick him up. Those spurs draw blood for sure.
