I know this is Tndeer and if this thread is out of line I apologise. If any of you who do the turkey contest or would like to do the contest, me and another member here are talking about forming a team of TN guys for the competition. We need 10 more guys to complete the team. We had a contest here a few years ago but I don't think we had alot of participation. Shoot me a pm or reply here if your interested.

Can't beat Bergmann's rule. If every team kills more or less "equivalent" birds, dem Yankees will beat you every time on weight. Northern birds are usually just a little heavier. They are adapted to be heavier to handle the cold.

Yeah I was on it a few years ago. I'm trying to get some of the older members to join too. We have some real turkey killers here that could give those teams some real competition.
