Found and talked with this one last week but he wouldn't cross a little rough brushy holler. Went back this am and set up on his side of holler-a few sultry clucks and yelps were all it took. He came in fast with 1 gobble-finally held up to look at 25 yards but it was too late. Tale of the tape-18.4 #, 9" beard, 7/8" spurs, M2 Benelli, 3" Win LB XR #5s. And Setterman-no decoys, no blinds, sitting on my @@@ in the woods- lol-but did use high tech shotgun and ammo.

Thanks guys- huntaholic the box was made by Albert Paul of Paul's Calls in MS. My cousin sent him the wood about 20 years ago from our grandparents' farm. The box is poplar cut by the Sam Werner timber company in the Pound Gulf in the 1920s. The 3x12x12' board was in my granddaddy's shop for 60 or more years. The walnut is from a tree on the place that I cut after it was killed by lightning-one of my uncles actually planted the tree. So that call has a lot of family history. I have used it to call in near all of the turkeys that I have ever killed. It sounds so sweet and is so easy to run even I can do it.

Wow that is amazing I had no idea. I would love to have a call with that much meaning. Thank you for sharing.
