I have some mouth calls I would like to use again, I forgot to put them in the fridge/freezer at the end of the season,

anything I can "soak" them in to recondition them?

It's a little painstaking, but I soak them to loosen up the reeds and then take a toothpick or paper-clip and gently separate them. They go back in to soak a bit and dissolve any gunk, rinse, and let them dry with pieces of toothpick separating the reeds.

During the season as much as possible, I store the ones I used that day with a piece of straw or dry grass between the reeds till they dry. I've even got 3/4 reed calls are YEARS old and still sound like the day they came out of the package.
