A couple of cool things I learned were:
Turkeys have different vocalizations for different animals. For example, the turkeys Joe followed would find 2-3 rattlesnakes every day.
The second more a reminder than a new discovery. The reminder was my love for being out there. A month or so ago, there was discussion on here about the value of scouting. Some dismissed scouting before the season as unnecessary or doing more harm than good. I disagree. Scouting gets me out there and gives me an opportunity to learn.
Spring is so special thanks to wild turkeys. The anticipation of hunting season gets me out there, but each dawn I spend out there before the season is a treasure.
