Deer season about to ramp up, but I'm more excited for Mar 15, 2025 (opening day for turkeys in MS)!

Got 1 last bag of ground turkey left... think I'll make a batch of Jalapeño Cheddar snack sticks with it for deer season.

It's funny that you bring this up. I got out my vest this weekend, organizing it, throwing away empty snack bags, restocking the tp supply.

The quota hunt applications will be in less than 2 months.

I'd rather shoot a turkey than a deer also, just because it's easier for me to deal with. I can't drag deer like I used to. I can haul a turkey a long way though. I used to have a hard time cooking turkey so it wasn't dry. But since I started brining and injecting, it's a game changer.

Almost time to apply for Florida. I have to think of which new state to hit this year… Missouri, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Michigan- states I'm thinking about.

I love deer hunting and really look forward to it. But seeing the turkeys we have that we didn't have 5 years ago sure is a blessing and sure makes a man think of spring.

Getting deeper and deeper in the habitat as we have the last several years I love the work leading up to both turkey and deer season.
