Looking good for only 5 days in the dirt, but then again, it has gotten some good rain on it for 3 of those 5 days.

Nice....bet it really greens up over the next week or so....after another week or two if it's not thick enough for you layer in some more wheat or cereal rye.....will be nice and green by fall.

I planted mine on 8-27 knowing we were supposed to get rain the next 3 days. Didn't get it that Sunday but got a perfect rain for it on Monday and Tuesday. I was seeing greenery already by that Thursday. It's really taking off and growing daily. The pic from 9-7 the oats are about 5" right now. I mowed the lane back to it this afternoon and it's even thickened up since yesterday.
