the morning hunt was a bust, everything that could go wrong did. first i had 3 does come in and snort for ever, i thought they would never leave. the turkeys were gobbling their heads off until that happened. took about an hour for the action to start back.
i had a jake come in and then some hens and i kept hearing some gobbling a couple hundred yards away on the neighbors. all the sudden here comes a yote that clears the field again and he stayed just out of range or i would have popped him.
then the neighbor shoots 3 times and turkeys start flying in every direction and things come to a standstill once again.
i went back to the house and got on the mower and kept my eyes on the hill the whole time i mowed. i saw some turkeys come out of the woods to feed in the field so i jumped off the mower and got up the hill out in front of them. only sat there about 25 minutes when they came into view.
