After getting whipped that morning Cody and I went to grab a bite to eat and return to our lease in Sumner Co. We got back to the lease around 11am, started checking the back side of the lease, trying to strike a gobbler up. With all the wind that we had i told him lets go to the listening spot and just sit there a couple hours we can glass those fields. After getting there and getting settled in with the camera and everything I done a few segments with my mouth call, swore a heard a bird but with the wind it was difficult to tell to be sure. By not calling i heard it again and told Cody he thought i was lying so i told him to call so i could listen, so he did and i heard him again. By this time the bird had already committed at over 500 yards away still too far to be sure but i seen him come out in the field and look. we laid our eyes on him at 11:26am and began to get out gloves and headnets on and the camera situated as he was committed walking toward us way off in the wild blue yonder. Suddenly he started running right towards us and i raised my gun, he stopped blew up in strut and screamed his guts out looking for that hen but all he found was a face full of mag blends at 20 yards there he laid and it was 11:30am. I looked at Cody and said you ever been on a hunt that was that quick, he wanted to die apparently. :super:
