should i hunt a hard wood flat with white oaks or a creek bottom the is about 100 yds from a field both spots have great trails and ive hunted the hardwoods but i came upon this creek bottom last week and hung a stand im iffy on which spt to hunt any opinions?

do you have a good tranistion spot between them where you can hang a stand that way if they or moving off the oaks to the creek or vice versa you get them by ambush on the trail and less likely to be a range issue....just my $0.02 worth good luck either way

I've been hunting in KY since the 5th and I have 2 stands that are in very similar situations. I've had a lot more deer activity in the stand I have up on a ridge in the oaks than the one I have in the creek bottom.
