I found this fan mount at Walmart last night and thought I would give it a try. What do yall think? Be honest.

Thanks dmonty. That was a little work filling shells with wax, setting the beards, drilling the holes, etc. I'm big on preserving memories.

I hang my beard and spurs in the shell the same way but I only use the brass part and cut the plastic hull off. I use a glue gun to hold everything in.

The only thing I would have done differ is boil the spurs.Other than that, I may do the same thing with some of mine. Really like it

We always keep our shells. It's an important part of the hunt to us. Thanks for the opinion though!

I write the date and county on the brass with a magic marker. Also on the spurs I take a fine piece of sandpaper to them and then spray with a clear coat.

I like it but im the same I cut the plastic a little more off the shell. and I get the skin and all of that off the spurs and whitened them up a little. but I like it pretty good.

I think he is talking about removing the skin, flesh and then bleaching the bone.
