Anyone hunt with an over/under for turkey? What are the pros/cons of them. Would you set both barrels the same and just have a 2 shotter or set one for long and one for up close. And how would the poi of the barrels be if you put a red dot.
How did you mount the Fastfire?Boll Weevil":y91gyf55 said:. . . . . I use a Burris Fastfire sight.
I was telling some guys at work yesterday about your gun but I couldn't find the old thread with pics. Can you repost the pics? Also, is it a heavy gun?Boll Weevil":16q495ml said:I have for years...love it. Top barrel has a .660 for longer shots while bottom barrel is .673 for closer. POA and POI are identical for both barrels and I use a Burris Fastfire sight.
Pretty slick mount.Boll Weevil":192paf08 said:The FF mounts to the rib.
There's a pair of plates that bolt underneath the rib and then 4 set screws that provide lateral stability against the sides of the rib. Rock-solid.
Google "b-square cantilever rib mount" and it pops right up.TheLBLman":2esz3877 said:Is that mount an improvision, or something easily found?
Boll Weevil":pmbv3vs4 said:Not heavy at all...weighs right at 8 lbs. Since there's not really a receiver, action, or magazine the weight of that additional 2nd barrel is offset. The FF mounts to the rib. There's a pair of plates that bolt underneath the rib and then 4 set screws that provide lateral stability against the sides of the rib. Rock-solid.
