Anyone ever hunt at pea ridge? Is it worth going ? Any tips would be appreciated.

I hunted some private land next to it about 10 years ago. Plenty of turkeys there but a lot changes in that amount of time.

Seems to me the turkey population is noticeably down in the region. Disease? Predators? Cold weather?

I've never hunted it but always told to hunt the dekalb side. More birds on that side from what I hear.Talked to a guy last year that hunted it and he said he had to start leasing land in order to turkey hunt. BUT, you can always believe some will blow smoke. Can't hurt to try.
Plateau hunter, I'm proud I'm not the only one noticing that! Its amazing how many fewer turkey I see year to year now. Winter flocks are at least half what they were just 5 years ago, much worse than what they were 10 years ago. I have not seen a jake in 3 years on my farm now, and that's concerning me. My neighbor and I were just talking about it too, were was the winter flocks on the 4 lane this year? Were are they now? We have seen nothing!!! Really concerning!
