They are in the same heat range as Scotch Bonnets so they are not too bad. I got a bumper crop of red and yellow bonnets this year for just 7 plants. Occasionally you get one that can really light you up but they aint nothing compared to a ghost or the hotter peppers. My ghosts this year seemed exceptionally hot.
Devils Tongue is supposed to be between a bonnet and a ghost. Yellows are milder than the red.
Shape can be all over the place. Ive got bonnets that im sure are bonnets and the shapes vary a great deal
This is one of my first Papa Dreadie bonnets. Its off pheno but tastes the same.
Few more early ones you would probably think are not bonnets.
Later pods start looking more correct.
Most of my red bonnets from MOA seed stock look pretty correct in shape. Kinda bumpy though for bonnets. These were pretty hot so i was concerned about a cross.
