I'm sure many of us have the cuts, scratches, bruises, etc. that come from chasing these stupid birds.

I added a new one to the list this morning. I got hoodoo'd by a WMA bird and decided to try another location. I was moving along pretty good in my truck down the gravel road when I see a deer, that had been feeding in the grass on the right side of the road, sprint across in front of me.

I figured there might be another and started to slow down.

There was, but it got a late start, and by this time we are going to meet at a spot in the road. So, I gunned it and swerved to the left side of the road as far as I could go. She also sped up and jumped just as I was about to get by her.

She smacked right in to my passenger window. I actually cringed, expecting her to come through it. But she didn't, thankfully. She did snap my mirror off though. Luckily, there were no dents in the door.

She rolled a couple of times, got back up and headed after the other one.

My intent was to hop across a lil'ol 3ft deep ditch and was supremely confident I could make said "hop" and sustain no casualties.

In your best Homer Simpson voice, "Doh!!"
