I stuck a s40 and a sony P32(homebrews) on a fence row with several persimmon trees in it .They are loaded down..only thing it may be a little early, some of them were turning colors..I.was not about to taste one.would take a week to get that bitter taste out of my mouth.
But we will see .I use to hunt the persimmons with great results..But I have found that some persimmons hang on until Christmas, and some let go at the first frost. ;)I would love to make a blind in that growed up fence row ..I would have to catch the wind right ..No where to hang a stand.
But we will see in just a few days if any thing is happening.

I hunkered the cam down early season last year and got more coyotes on the persimmons than deer. Have you ever noticed all the piles of yote crap that have persimmons seeds in it?

Skunks kept me in a stand one night to well after Dark.
Wife was about to send my brother ...who is first responder and ambulance driver.
Kind of funny but I am not getting sprayed AGAIN.It is god awful you cannot get rid of it..you walk into the mall a week later ,and the people start talking about smelling a skunk.Even though you cannot smell it,I guess you get used to it. :D

To unpredictable for me.have seen the ground look like pigs rooting it up sometimes amd other times they walk right past and dont even look at them.

The persimmons are in my "funell'but i dont depend on them.
